What is Mu Alpha Theta?
In Mu Alpha Theta, many things happen! No, we do not just sit down and do math. We have many fun and engaging experiences.
First of all, we have our meetings (worth 1 point!) once each month (usually on a Monday). At these meetings we play various types of games, and we make sure that the activities we do can accommodate to every person's level of math. In this club, we try to make math as fun as possible. We also have monthly event days (worth 3 points!) where we play games that are more complex, longer, and more fun!
This year, the officers have more math tricks up their sleeves, and you will be totally impressed. In addition to games, we will at times share many fun tricks and facts because math is a very beautiful subject once you see all the methods and techniques to it.
This year, we are going to try to get everyone to know each other during this social time because here at Mu Alpha Theta, we want a friendly environment. Also, if you have any suggestions for the next club meeting, please do not hesitate to tell one of the officers. We are always glad when someone wants to participate and help make Mu Alpha Theta more exciting!
Now that you know who we are, we would like to congratulate you officially for qualifying for this wonderful club!

Point Requirements
Like all honor societies at Brookwood, there are service requirements, but please do not let this panic you. Here at Mu Alpha Theta, we make acquiring service hours very manageable. You can get points by attending meetings (1 point), event days (3 points), and math competitions (point value varies). There are also several at-home point opportunities.
If Seniors get all 30 of their required points, they get a cord!
Events and opportunities will be announced through meetings, emails, and Remind!
